Spring has almost sprung here in Eastern PA. That is to say, it was 80 degrees on Saturday and 50 degrees on Sunday. Not my favorite kind of weather change but we're getting through it. Thankfully, we had a beautiful day on April 1st for my Spring Mini Sessions. It was just warm enough for pretty dresses and short sleeve shirts (phew--in all honestly, I was worried the weather would do something drastic like snow randomly but it didn't, THANK YOU LORD). And I got to meet the most beautiful families! Wow.

I want to feature one family that I got to meet at these sessions and that was Meghan's family. Meghan is another photographer in the area who I've connected with via Instagram and finally got to meet in person!

She and her family were so incredibly sweet and so fun to photograph. I love how I've gotten to become friends with other photographers through social media and be able to ask questions and run ideas past each other. Just an unexpected blessing that I am very thankful for.

It's also so fun to do photos with another creative--she had ideas and it was honestly so nice to collaborate a bit throughout our session. It's something that doesn't happen often and I enjoy it so much when I can be creative with a client, instead of just coming up with all the ideas myself. Which of course, I'm 100% prepared to do and I view that as part of my job. But getting to work with another photographer is just...FUN.

I'm trying to be better at sharing the kind words that clients and friends send me, so while I cover my eyes and press "enter", here are some beyond kind words from Meghan about her session:

"We loved working with Alex!! As a photographer myself, I was really picky when I was researching photographers in the area to capture my own family! I looked at a lot of different elements (editing style, portfolio, responsiveness, professionalism) before choosing Alex and I was not disappointed! She is a joy to work with and my 3 young children loved her. Our photos came out amazing, better than I would have imagined! We will cherish them forever. Thank you for a great experience, Alex!"

Eek! I am always so blown away by reviews like this. Because I know that when someone takes the time to write a review after a session, it means something. If you took the time to sit down and write to me about your experience, it means the absolute world to me. I don't take that for granted. Ever. It means even more coming from a fellow photographer!

My hope is that each family, couple, brand, that I work with feels loved and cared for. I hope that you feel heard and seen in a way that captures your love or your passion project. I hope that you know how carefully I choose images and edit them for you. I hope you feel those things. They may look different for different people but it's my goal that you feel like your story is being told gently and respectfully through photography. It's not lost on me how precious it is to be asked to document life events in families and individuals whether it's simply a new season or the start of a new journey.
