FAQ

Do you shoot weddings?

Ah the age-old question. Right now, I do not shoot large weddings. However, I do shoot elopement-style weddings and couples who are going to the courthouse! Usually it is just me and you guys! If that sounds like what you're looking for then send me a message, I'd love to make it happen.

Will there be a second shooter?

Nope, you're stuck with me ;) Currently don't have the need for a second shooter but I have occassionally brought an assistant to a shoot if I need extra help with fur babies or human babies!

Can I extend the session on the day of?

Generally I don't set a timer and cut off our session at EXACTLY the moment an hour is up. Sometimes we'll go 15-20 minutes over time if we're all feeling it! Any more time than that needs to be scheduled during the contract-signing stage of the process.

What kind of gear do you use?

I'm a Nikon girl, and I shoot in full-frame. The rest I'm happy to chat about in more detail if you're super curious!

Do I have to order prints through you?

You do not! All my contracts come with a print release clause so you can print as you please. In fact, I highly encourage you to print your photos! If you need some recommendations of where to get affordable, quality prints I can suggest a few go-to's of mine.

I'm nervous! How will I know how to pose?

It is 100% normal to feel nervous but let me reassure you that at no point during our session will I abandon you to make up your own poses or figure out what to do on your own. And while I will set you up in a few "poses", a lot of the best images are captured through verbal prompts (like asking you to tell your partner the story of your first date, or putting on your favorite song and dancing along to it with you). I gravitate towards movement in the images I create, and I thrive on genuine reactions and emotions. So think of this more like hanging out with a friend for an afternoon rather than being a model. Yes, you might be dressed up a bit more than usual but a lot of the work we'll put in leading up to the actual session will allow all of us to feel relaxed and feel ready to have fun at our session! If you're feeling nervous still that's completely ok. I'd love to talk with you more if you aren't quite sure what to expect.
